Tithes & Offerings
We Give Because of Jesus. The Bible says that God gave his only Son, Jesus, so that we would be saved. But not only did God save us, he lavishes on us uncountable blessings and an eternal inheritance we can't comprehend. God's generosity towards us compels us to be generous in return.
As a church we truly believe that Adoption is very close to the heart of God & we are instructed to take care of orphans & widows. The Adoption that is currently in process is the Whelpley family. You can read more about their story below.
"We are Isaiah and Kat and wanted to share a snapshot of our adoption journey. We got married in 2005 and hoped to have children a few years into marriage; however, that didn’t happen the way we had planned. The Lord had a different plan, a better plan, so far He has brought us 2 sons through adoption. Our oldest, Ezekiel (Zeke), is 4 years old and came to us as a little 5 pound peanut at 18 days old. He is full of life and an absolute JOY. Then, a couple years ago we began the adoption process to adopt from South Africa and had been on the waiting list for about a year when we got a phone call about a little boy from North Carolina who needed a forever family. Although we hadn’t planned on our next adoption being domestic, we had always prayed that God would bring our children to us, so we said “yes” and trusted that the doors would close if it wasn’t right. A month later we brought our 2nd son home at 14 months old. He has now been with us almost 4 months and fits right into our family. Zeke and him laugh a lot together and get along so well. A lot of people even assume they are biological siblings since they resemble one another. In August we will go back on the waiting list for our South African child and hope to get matched in 1-2 years with our 3rd child.
With the amazing privilege of adoption, also comes a great expense. Throughout our adoption journey we have seen God provide in amazing ways as people have partnered with us to care for the orphan by bringing them into a family. As we move forward with paying for our 2 current adoptions (together approx $60,000), we are trusting that the Lord will continue to meet every need to bring these little ones home. Our family doesn’t look like a “typical” family and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Thank you for reading our story and for your prayers and support along our journey."

"Our heart for living here is to bring hope to a hopeless area hence the name Hope House. The mission behind what we do is simple. We want to see the lost reconciled to Jesus . We live an intentional life of showing our neighbors the gospel."
We Give Because of Jesus.
The Bible says that God gave his only Son, Jesus, so that we would be saved. But not only did God save us, he lavishes on us uncountable blessings and an eternal inheritance we can't comprehend. God's generosity towards us compels us to be generous in return.
We Give to Jesus.
Everything we have belongs to God. Therefore, we do not really decide how much of our wealth to give, as much as we decide how much of God's wealth we want to give back to Him. In 1 Chronicles 29:14, David says "But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able thus to offer willingly? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you." We believe we are responsible to faithfully give the tithe, or ten percent, and are to be extravagantly generous with the remaining ninety percent.
We Give Through The Local Church.
Jesus is the head of the church, his body. The local church is the hands and feet of Jesus to a specific local community. The primary way that we give to Jesus is through His church! We believe that believers should be plugged into a local family of believers where they are fed with the word, encouraged, and held accountable. The ministries of the church shouldn’t be supported by big outside donors, but by the partnering believers that make up this local family. So if you’re a part of the family, support the family.
This is not to say Christians should not also contribute to other ministries they feel called to support, over and above their support to the local congregation.
